FCI and EBRD in Kiev: Factoring Workshop for National Bank of Ukraine

Christian Faber provides two legal sections within the three day workshop: Legal Issues in Factoring and Litigation and Supervision in Factoring - both with special focus on Ukraine and international standards.

FCI and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provide a factoring workshop in Ukraine for the regulators such as the Ukranian government and banking supervisory authorities, the National Bank of Ukraine and the national chamber of commerce. About 100 participants are expected.

The aim is to support rebuilding trade finance structures in Ukraine to help the economy to develop further. Trade finance and especially factoring is identified as a key figure and due to legislative and regulative discussions.

Bette Westenberger Brink and its factoring specialist lawyers Dr. Ulrich Brink and Christian Faber support the FCI education program in legal areas and work in international projects with EBRD and other supranational institutions such as UNCITRAL and Afreximbank to develop factoring according to the published Model Law on factoring.
